The Reimagining Education initiative is moving forward with input from students, families, staff, and the community, working together to shape the future of learning at DMPS. This timeline highlights major events associated with the plan and will be updated as new information becomes available.
The Reimagining Education committee of students, parents, teachers, staff and community members created a draft proposal for Reimagining Education, based on research and data.
The Reimagining Education outline went to the School Board on January 21. DMPS will share more details about the proposal at its State of the Schools address on February 11. Staff, families and community members will be able to give their input on how to implement the Reimagining Education initiative. There will be in-person and online opportunities to share ideas.
The Reimagining Education Committee will review the suggestions gathered from the engagement sessions and survey to refine the proposal before bringing it to the School Board.
The School Board will review and discuss the final recommendation and make a decision about how to move forward. This could include a potential future bond election to make the changes possible.
